Information we collect
When you use our enquiry form, we collect your name, email, optional business website URL and the message you send. Please do not include sensitive personal information. Hosting providers may process technical connection and security information to deliver the website.
Why we use it
We use enquiry details to respond to your request and discuss services, taking steps at your request before entering a possible contract. We use limited technical information for our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and preventing abuse. We do not automatically subscribe enquiries to marketing emails.
Optional analytics and your settings
Analytics are off until you select “Accept analytics”. If you agree, our own analytics endpoint counts page views by page and day. It does not store names, email addresses, IP addresses, advertising identifiers or browsing history across websites. Consent is the basis for optional analytics. We do not use advertising trackers.
Your choice is saved in local browser storage under geek-consent-v1 for up to six months. You can reject optional analytics or withdraw permission at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops future optional page-view events. Essential hosting or sign-in cookies may be used by the hosting platform.
Security and spam prevention
Enquiry submissions use a hidden spam field, server validation and submission limits. A one-way hash derived from the connection address is used for short-term rate limiting; raw connection addresses are not stored in the application database. We limit access to enquiries to authorised management of this website.
Storage, sharing and retention
Enquiries and aggregate analytics are stored using the Sites hosting platform and Cloudflare infrastructure. These providers process data to host, secure and operate the service. We do not sell personal information. International processing may take place; the business must confirm applicable provider contracts and transfer safeguards before public launch.
Unsuccessful enquiries are retained for up to six months, then removed on subsequent submissions. Client records are governed by the separate service agreement and its retention arrangements. Rate-limit records expire after 24 hours. Daily aggregate analytics are kept for up to 13 months.
Your rights and contact
Depending on your circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure or restriction of your information, object to certain uses, and request portability. You can withdraw analytics consent through Cookie settings. You can send a privacy request through the enquiry form, marked “Privacy request”. A direct privacy contact email will be added once confirmed.
You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
External booking services
Our “Book a call” links take you to Calendly, where you can choose an available time and provide the details needed to arrange your call. Calendly handles information entered on its website under its own privacy notice. We receive the booking information needed to prepare for and manage your appointment. Calendly is linked rather than embedded, so it does not load on this website before you follow the link. You can read Calendly’s privacy notice before booking.
